Origin of Mantra
हरि ओम तत्सत् जय गुरु दत्त
The sacred mantra “हरि ओम तत्सत् जय गुरु दत्त” reflects the essence of divine truth, creation, and surrender. Its origin lies in the eternal wisdom of Lord Dattatreya, the Adi-Guru, the united form of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh. This mantra was given to Bapushree by Lord Dattatreya for the universal upliftment of society. Bapushree is a committed devotee of Lord Dattatreya. In the pursuit of beholding him, he performed deep spiritual sadhana in a cave of the Girnar hills, in the middle of the forest of Junagadh. As a result, Lord Dattatreya appeared before him and, pleased with his penance, bestowed him this Divine mantra as a boon.
“हरि” invokes Lord Vishnu, the sustainer of life and remover of sorrows.
“ओम” is the primordial sound that representing the vibration of the universe, symbolizing totality and cosmic consciousness.
“तत्सत्” signifies the supreme truth that all existence is divine and one with the ultimate reality.
“जय गुरु दत्त” is a salutation to Lord Dattatreya, the eternal Guru who guides every soul toward self-realization.
This mantra was revealed through deep meditation and divine communion, carrying within it the vibration of peace, surrender, and enlightenment. As shared and chanted by Pujya Maiyashree, it serves as a living connection to the Datta tradition, awakening devotion, peace, and the realization that divinity stays within all.
